Why I am beginning to really hate PayPal - any suggestions?

The response sent is not responsive, not applicable, and of no help at all. I also tried
calling, and was told I would have to get the recipient to take some action, or wait 30
days for the funds to revert to me. I explained that this is evil and unacceptable, and
was offered nothing but an insincere customer service "apology," which only made
me angry.
The recipient of the funds, who is not a "seller" or selling anything,
is unable to claim the funds, and because of the nature of the donation (her husband
died) I do not wish to badger her or annoy her or ask her to take any action whatsoever,
nor should she have to. I have already tried to follow the instructions to cancel
the payment, and they don't work. To have to wait 30 days so I can cancel the payment
is is outrageous. You are earning interest on these funds that you are holding in limbo
against my will, and I consider you to be thieves. Stop, thief! Give me back my money.
